New UAE law banning old cars?

Postby Guest on Sat Aug 20, 2005 5:04 pm

There is a rumoured new law where all cars older than 5 years will not be allowed to be registered or renewed in UAE. I guess no vintage cars allowed if that goes through.

I dont know who this law benefits other than the new car dealers.

This is still a law under discussion. The rationale is obviously that newer cars are safer on the road, and cause less pollution!

Especially for all those tuners riding around in '93 Civics and feeling like they are on top of the world.
No offence to other tuners but I had a few bad experiences in the past with such people which is why the opinion.
Give respect, get respect.
