BMW, the official automotive partner of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has unveiled its Olympic fleet of 4000 vehicles, including 240 electric and hybrid cars.
As Official Automotive Partner to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, BMW is bringing 160 units of the 1 Series ActiveE small family car and 40 of the even smaller Mini E, with another 40 units of the 5 Series Active Hybrid.
Also, the German automaker will bring 25 BMW Motorrad Motorcycles. The majority will be R1200RT models and these will be used for a variety of roles along with F650GS, R1200GS.
The bikes will be used to offer key support facilities in road based events including cycling.
Rumors say that BMW will use this prestigious event to launch the first Hybrid in the Rolls Royce history.
In addition, BMW becomes a Sustainability Partner supporting London 2012’s commitment to deliver its ‘low carbon’ and ‘healthy living’ Games.
