Is it a good idea to buy from an auction? You wont have the chance to have the car checked and you wont know if there is something wrong with it so what is the point of having a bargain for something that is not worth it???

if the cars have already been through a process where they are checked thoroughly by the auctioners... and after a certain test... they are passed and then placed for aution to the customers... then i think auction is good.... the seller gets a good price... and the buyer has to fite for the best car ;)

Hello people.... i am back with my 2 bits...

If one is lucky you can get a good deal and a good car.... but these people who check teh cars and especially the ones who check it for passing at teh shamil and tasjeel, don't know their left hand from right.... forget about anything about teh car....

I sold my pajero last week and the guy at teh shamil said that left side front pannel was accidented and repaired..... I have no idea based on what he said so.... as there had never been an accident to my car.... moreover I sold my pathfinder last year and these guys couldn't guess anything about the rear accident that was there!!

So that explains......

I would only bid for a car well under warranty ..... on second thought maybe not.!

I would rather drive it check it and then maybe pay a few thousand more!

But it might be a different story to sell through them!!!

Hello guys,

I have been to more than one auction, I am interested in cars, but not a professional, so my comments are:
1. I did not really feel like bidding for any car (out of a hundred maybe), because if it was even 2009 model, either serious accident or many mechanical problems...as per the comprehensive report from tasjeel?

2. I was going there for weeks then I realized that even though one car is sold on one day, it is again for auction, either the same place or another auction, one or two weeks later.

3. I asked the manager at one auction if I take a car then go to RTA and it is not passed, will they return it or give me a refund he said no? you buy as it is.

4. I called up RTA and asked who orgnize these auctions or control them, they said it is NOT RTA?

Good luck to all.
